Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Rendezva (legal entity to be confirmed) (“Rendezva”, “we”) collects, uses, and shares personal data when you use Rendezva websites, apps, and related services. We intend to comply with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP) and other applicable Indian law. The legal entity name and registered address will be updated here when incorporation details are final.
Data we collect
- Account data: name, username, email, phone, password hash, date of birth, city, and interests.
- Profile and social data: bio, photo, posts, comments, friends, follows, messages, and groups.
- Events and itineraries you create or join, including locations, registration answers, waiver signatures, and check-in records.
- Payments: ticket amounts, plan purchases, refunds, and payout details processed by Razorpay. We do not store full card numbers.
- Device and usage data: IP address, logs, cookies, and approximate location used for maps and safety.
- Reports you submit or that are filed about content you posted.
How we use data
- To operate accounts, events, itineraries, messaging, and payments.
- To keep the community safe, including trust scores and moderation.
- To calculate platform fees, organizer wallets, refunds, and cashouts.
- To send transactional email (activation, password reset, event updates).
- To improve product reliability. We do not sell personal data.
Sharing
We share data with other users only as you choose (public profile, posts, event listings). Organizers may see attendee details you agree to share. We use processors such as hosting, email, maps, and Razorpay. We may disclose data if required by Indian law or to prevent harm.
Your rights
You may access, correct, or export your data from Settings, or deactivate your account. To request deletion or raise a grievance, email support@rendezva.com. You can also withdraw consent for future processing by closing your account, except where we must retain records (payments, legal claims, safety).
Retention and security
We keep account data while your account is active and for a limited period afterwards for backups, disputes, and legal obligations. Payment and waiver records may be kept longer. We use access controls, HTTPS, and least-privilege staff tools. No method of transmission is perfectly secure.
Children
Rendezva is not directed at children under 18. If we learn that we collected data from a child, we will delete it.
